(a continuation of the “5 Things I Always Have In My Pantry” post)

Let’s just say this—I’m in my “make the inside of the cabinets just as cute as the outside” era. Earlier this week, I shared the five food staples I always have in my pantry (if you missed that post, it’s over here). But today, I’m veering into form and function—because honestly, I believe pantry things should be useful and pretty (Jay doesn’t agree with this mentality, but I am who I am 😁). If I’m going to be reaching for oats and brown sugar every morning, I’d like to do it with a little style and aesthetic joy, you know?

Here are three gorgeous pantry upgrades I’ve been loving lately:

1. The Smooth Glass Canisters With Wooden Lids

Let me introduce you to my current obsession—sleek, clear glass canisters with smooth wooden lids that click shut with a soft seal. They’re simple, clean, and satisfyingly minimal—kind of like the glass jar version of a good white tee. They let whatever’s inside do the talking (hello, rainbow lentils), and believe it or not, they stack well too.

Bonus: they make me feel just a little more put-together, even when the rest of the kitchen looks like a scene from a cooking show gone off the rails (which is most days, if I’m being honest, ha!).

2. The Fancy Textured Canisters That Look Like They Came From Grandma’s Attic

These containers are the show-offs of the group. They’ve got a pressed-glass texture, almost like vintage glassware, and the wood lids match, but feel slightly more worn-in—on purpose. They don’t match the smooth ones above, but I like that. They’re similar, but not the same. I use these for the things I reach for a little less often (think tea bags, dried fruit, chia seeds), and I keep them out where I can see them AT ALL TIMES. Because honestly? They’re just that pretty.

Another bonus: the way the light hits the glass in the afternoon is kind of magical. Not in an Instagram worthy way. Just…quietly lovely.

3. Wooden Ball Mason Jar Lids (A Game-Changer)

Okay, hear me out—if you use mason jars for storage (and really who doesn’t?), please do yourself a favor and grab a set (or 3) of these wooden lids. They pop right on, and suddenly your ordinary jar of brown sugar looks like it belongs in an old-world apothecary.

They’re smooth, sturdy, and surprisingly satisfying to use. I love that they instantly make everything feel more intentional. Like, yes, I did decant the sunflower seeds into a jar, and yes, I did top it with a wooden lid that matches the cinnamon sticks two shelves over. Because I am that amazing.

Extra bonus: They make even the most ordinary pantry items look elevated. Suddenly, it’s not “a jar of flaxseed,” it’s “my beautifully organized, walnut-topped wellness corner.”

What to Keep in Your

Pantry List

I think the thing I’ve realized is that I’m way more likely to stay organized when the containers spark a little a lot of joy. (I know, I know—Marie Kondo was right.) Pretty storage = more inclined to keep things tidy = fewer bags of mystery flour stuffed in the back. Simple math.

Anyway, if you’re in the mood to refresh your own pantry situation, I highly recommend starting small—with just one or two canisters. Or a lid swap. It’s weirdly satisfying and it’ll get things rolling along for ya.

And if you’re curious about the pantry staples that go in these pretty jars, that post is right here. Let me know what you’ve been loving in your pantry lately—function, form, or somewhere in between.

P.S. I added all three of these to my Amazon Storefront, if you want to check them out. Happy organizing (or just browsing 😉).
